What an interesting week we had! We never hope to cancel school and recognize that this creates a big impact on families, but we have to first prioritize student safety. Thank you for your support (and snow pictures!) through an unpredictable week!

Just a reminder, if you have access to a device and internet, students can log-in to Clever and engage in the extended learning online. We also have a partnership with Kitsap Regional Library, allowing every Bremerton School District student to use their lunch number to check out books and access all of their resources!

This upcoming week, we WILL have school on Friday, February 14th. Please reach out directly to your student's teacher if you have questions on Valentine's Day activities and parties in classrooms.

¡Feliz sábado, familias de Armin Jahr!

¡Qué semana tan interesante hemos tenido! Nunca queremos cancelar la escuela y sabemos que esto tiene un gran impacto en las familias, pero la seguridad de los estudiantes es nuestra prioridad. ¡Gracias por su apoyo (y por las fotos de la nieve!) durante esta semana impredecible.

Solo un recordatorio: si tienen acceso a un dispositivo e internet, los estudiantes pueden iniciar sesión en Clever y participar en el aprendizaje en línea. También tenemos una colaboración con la Biblioteca Regional de Kitsap, lo que permite a cada estudiante del Distrito Escolar de Bremerton usar su número de almuerzo para sacar libros y acceder a todos sus recursos.

La próxima semana, SÍ tendremos clases el viernes 14 de febrero. Si tienen preguntas sobre las actividades y celebraciones del Día de San Valentín en los salones de clase, comuníquense directamente con el maestro(a) de su estudiante.

Friday March 7th, 7pm is the next PTO hosted Movie Night. Doors open at 6:45pm.

February 21st is Popcorn Friday. Popcorn will be for sale, 50 cents a bag, and will be given at the end of the day for students to take home. We will send a reminder to the teachers the day before. Students are able to purchase more than one bag each. Proceeds go to the Parent Teacher Organization, which help with events like literacy night, trunk or treat, continuing popcorn Friday and more!

Future popcorn Fridays will be the third Friday of every month.

There are still many ways to support the school and your students' teachers. Some support can be in the form of providing resources, others include daily support like helping with classroom lessons. Please reach out to your student's Teacher(s) or email arminjahrfamilyassocation@gmail.com for more information.

Our next Parent Teacher Organization Meeting will be February 18th at 4pm at the school. We will be discussing the move to become an affiliated Parent Teacher Student Association, and will have a representative from the State PTA on zoom to provide additional information.

La próxima Noche de Película organizada por el PTO será el viernes 7 de marzo a las 7:00 p.m. Las puertas abrirán a las 6:45 p.m.

El viernes 21 de febrero será Popcorn Friday. Se venderán bolsas de palomitas por 50 centavos cada una y se entregarán al final del día para que los estudiantes las lleven a casa. Enviaremos un recordatorio a los maestros el día anterior. Los estudiantes pueden comprar más de una bolsa. Las ganancias apoyan a la Organización de Padres y Maestros (PTO), ayudando a financiar eventos como la Noche de Alfabetización, Trunk or Treat, Popcorn Friday y más.

Los futuros Popcorn Fridays serán el tercer viernes de cada mes.

Todavía hay muchas maneras de apoyar a la escuela y a los maestros de sus hijos. Is your student missing their winter coat?! We have MANY in our Lost & Found! Please have your student check the front office for lost items. Items unclaimed from Lost & Found will be donated following Spring Conferences.
