Happy Saturday, Armin Jahr!

Student-Led Conferences are this upcoming week and students have been getting ready! These meetings are an important time for students, families, and teachers to discuss the progress students are making towards grade-level standards and continue to strengthen our partnership between school and home. Students will also share what they have been working on, what they are proud of and their goals for the rest of the year. If you have not already, please confirm with your student's teacher your conference time.

There will be no school Thursday and Friday to allow time for these conferences. And the following week, we will have no school for Spring Break!

Las Conferencias Dirigidas por Estudiantes serán esta semana, y los estudiantes han estado preparándose. Estas reuniones son una gran oportunidad para que estudiantes, familias y maestros hablen sobre el progreso hacia los estándares de grado y fortalezcan la conexión entre la escuela y el hogar. Los estudiantes compartirán lo que han estado trabajando, de qué se sienten orgullosos y cuáles son sus metas para el resto del año.

Si aún no lo has hecho, confirma con el maestro de tu estudiante la hora de tu conferencia.

No habrá clases el jueves y viernes para dar tiempo a estas reuniones. ¡Y la semana siguiente tampoco tendremos clases por las vacaciones de primavera!

If you receive food backpacks each week -mark your calendars! On Monday, March 31st, food boxes for spring break will be delivered to Armin Jahr. They will be available for pick up throughout the week. These boxes of food will weigh over 30 pounds per box and cannot be carried by your student or taken on the bus. Please make arrangements to pick up your family’s box(s) before the end of the week. Remember this is conference week, and you are welcome to pick up your box then if not prior to.

Also, thank you for your help in returning any backpacks you may have at home. Wishing you and your family a wonderful and restful spring break ahead!

¡Si recibes mochilas de comida cada semana, márcalo en tu calendario! El lunes 31 de marzo se entregarán cajas de alimentos para las vacaciones de primavera a Armin Jahr. Estas cajas de alimentos pesarán más de 30 libras por caja y su estudiante no las puede cargar ni llevarlas en el autobús. Haga arreglos para recoger las cajas de su familia antes del día final de la semana el viernes 4 de abril. Acuerdense que el jueves y viernes hay conferencias y no hay clases. Pueden recoger las cajas durante su conferencia también si no antes.

Is your student missing their winter coat?! We have MANY in our Lost & Found! Please have your student check the front office for lost items. Items unclaimed from Lost & Found will be donated following Spring Conferences.

This week PTO members helped Armin Jahr Elementary hang their new soccer net! Volunteer opportunities can be as simple as that but make a large impact.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Armin Jahr next month and the PTO is looking for volunteers to help support our school in this multi-day event. Students, staff, family members and members of the community are invited to meet our finalists on Tuesday, April 1 from 5 - 7:15 p.m. in the Bremerton School District board room (134 Marion Avenue North, Bremerton, WA 98310). All attendees will have a chance to share their feedback after meeting the finalists.
