Dear Armin Jahr Families,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our SEL Family Night—it was wonderful to see so many families engaging in activities that support our students' social and emotional growth. We also appreciate your participation in the Book Fair; your support helps foster a love of reading in our school community. As we head into this week, we want to let you know that state testing for students in grades 3–5 will begin. Please help your child be successful by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep and arrive at school on time.

También agradecemos su participación en la Feria del Libro; su apoyo ayuda a fomentar el amor por la lectura en nuestra comunidad escolar. Esta semana comenzarán las evaluaciones estatales para los estudiantes de 3.º a 5.º grado. Each spring, students in grades 3–8 and 10 take the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) in ELA and math, and students in grades 5, 8, and 11 take the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS). Assessment results help families and educators understand student progress and support learning needs and help to measure our progress and growth as a district.

Our online Book Fair will remain open for an additional week — perfect for more shopping opportunities!
