Good morning, Orca Learning Community!
What an incredible week it has been at Armin Jahr! Thank you to all of the families, alumni, and community members who joined us on Tuesday to celebrate our Farewell to Armin Jahr event. It was a beautiful reminder that the heart of our school is not the building, but the people, memories, and shared hopes for the future. Your presence made it such a meaningful sendoff. This week, we also celebrated our amazing Girls on the Run team, who completed their 5K last Saturday
Classrooms are starting to wrap up the year with end-of-year celebrations and special activities. We will also be having our AJ Family Picnic on Friday, June 13! This will be a picnic-style lunch, so families are encouraged to bring a blanket or something comfy to sit on. All guests will need to check in at the office before heading to the lunch area to meet their student.
As the school year winds down, you may notice classrooms and hallways beginning to look a little different. Staff are busy packing in preparation for our move to the interim campus for the 2025–26 school year. We also recognize that transitions like this can bring up a variety of emotions for students. Change is not always easy, and it's normal for students to have questions or worries. We encourage you to talk with your student and remind them that while the building may change, our Orca Learning Community, and the people (including them!) who make it so special, will remain together and strong.
Over the next two weeks, we’ll continue to build excitement and connection as we close out the year with Move-Up Days and our annual Grad Walk, where graduating seniors from Bremerton and Renaissance High Schools will return to walk our halls one last time!
We are also excited to have an Armin Jahr Yearbook this year! Information is below, students will receive order forms that can be returned to their teacher or yearbooks can be purchased directly from the office before or after school.

¡Buenos días, Comunidad de Aprendizaje Orca!
¡Qué semana tan increíble hemos tenido en Armin Jahr! Gracias a todas las familias, exalumnos y miembros de la comunidad que nos acompañaron el martes para celebrar nuestro evento de Despedida a Armin Jahr. Fue un hermoso recordatorio de que el corazón de nuestra escuela no es el edificio, sino las personas, los recuerdos y las esperanzas compartidas para el futuro. Su presencia hizo que esta despedida fuera muy significativa. Esta semana también celebramos a nuestro increíble equipo de Girls on the Run, ¡quienes completaron su carrera de 5K el sábado pasado!
Las clases están comenzando a cerrar el año con celebraciones y actividades especiales. También tendremos nuestro Picnic Familiar de AJ el viernes 13 de junio. Será un almuerzo estilo picnic, así que animamos a las familias a traer una manta o algo cómodo para sentarse. Todos los visitantes deberán registrarse en la oficina antes de unirse a su estudiante para el almuerzo.
A medida que nos acercamos al final del año escolar, es posible que noten que los salones y pasillos comienzan a verse un poco diferentes. El personal está empacando en preparación para nuestra mudanza al campus provisional para el año escolar 2025–26. También reconocemos que las transiciones como esta pueden generar diversas emociones en los estudiantes. Les animamos a hablar con sus hijos y recordarles que, aunque el edificio cambie, nuestra Comunidad de Aprendizaje Orca—y las personas (¡incluyéndolos a ellos!) que la hacen especial—seguirá unida y fuerte.
Durante las próximas dos semanas, seguiremos fomentando el entusiasmo y el sentido de comunidad mientras cerramos el año con Move-Up Days y nuestra caminata anual de graduación, en la que los estudiantes que se gradúan de las preparatorias Bremerton y Renaissance regresarán a recorrer nuestros pasillos una vez más.
¡También estamos muy emocionados de tener un anuario de Armin Jahr este año! A continuación encontrarán la información. Los estudiantes recibirán formularios de pedido que pueden entregar a su maestro/a, o los anuarios se pueden comprar directamente en la oficina antes o después de clases.
