Good morning, Orca Learning Community!
Our school community is complete now that we welcomed our Kindergarten students this past Monday! Our youngest learners brought joy, smiles, and extra energy to our campus this week!
September is Attendance Awareness Month!
Did you know that showing up to school every day is one of the most important ways students can be successful? Consistent attendance builds strong routines, keeps students connected, and ensures they don’t miss valuable learning time. Missing even one day a week adds up to nearly 40 days of school—or about 200 hours of instruction—over the course of the year! Let’s work together to build strong attendance habits from the very beginning of the school year. Every day counts, and every student matters!
Upcoming this week-
-
On Monday, September 15th, we will recognize the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month (and the independence day for many Central and South American countries).
-
This Friday, we will have our first Orca Family Friday Assembly. As the beginning of the day, students will come to the cafeteria to enage in a school-wide assembly. Teachers will also be handing out our grade-level-color Armin Jahr student shirts!
