Happy Saturday, Armin Jahr families! 

Yesterday was ORCA TIME! If you haven't heard, Orca Time is a special 30-minute session to build more positive relationships with students and staff (outside of their classroom teacher). All staff host an activity based on their interests that students choose to join- these activities ranged from batting cages, crafts, bracelet making, legos, to yoga, K pop sing alongs, and learning the Thriller dance! 

Other exciting events across campus this week- some of our kindergartners celebrated finishing ABC Bootcamp with an alphabet parade and bootcamp-themed party on Friday. 

This upcoming week, we will have an Orange Paper Party on Tuesday for all students who have returned their Orange Conference Papers. On Friday, we will have a special presentation of the Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig from the Peninsula Dance Theater as well as our Trunk or Treat on Friday night! Costume can be worn at the event- but NOT during the school day (save them for Thursday, 10/30). Keep an eye out for information about Spirit Dress-Up Days for the week of October 27th.

¡Feliz sábado, familias de Armin Jahr!

¡Ayer fue ORCA TIME! Si no lo han escuchado, Orca Time (Tiempo Orca) es una sesión especial de 30 minutos para construir relaciones más positivas entre los estudiantes y el personal (fuera de su maestro o maestra del salón). Todo el personal ofrece una actividad basada en sus intereses, y los estudiantes eligen a cuál unirse. ¡Las actividades incluyeron desde jaulas de bateo, manualidades, hacer pulseras, legos, yoga, canto de K-pop y aprender el baile de Thriller!

Otros eventos emocionantes en el campus esta semana: algunos de nuestros estudiantes de kínder celebraron haber terminado el ABC Bootcamp con un desfile del alfabeto y una fiesta con tema de entrenamiento el viernes.

Esta próxima semana tendremos una Fiesta del Papel Naranja el martes para todos los estudiantes que han devuelto sus papeles naranjas de conferencias. El viernes tendremos una presentación especial de Los Tres Lobitos y el Gran Cerdo Malvado del Peninsula Dance Theater, ¡además de nuestro evento de Trunk or Treat el viernes por la noche! Los disfraces se pueden usar en el evento, pero NO durante el día escolar (guárdenlos para el jueves 30 de octubre). Estén atentos a la información sobre los Días de Espíritu Escolar para la semana del 27 de octubre.

Each Fall and Spring, we hold Student-Led Conferences for students, families, and teachers to discuss the progress students are making towards grade-level standards and continue to strengthen our partnership between school and home.

Please look for the ORANGE PAPERS this week to begin scheduling conferences.

Cada otoño y primavera, realizamos Conferencias Dirigidas por los Estudiantes para que los estudiantes, las familias y los maestros puedan discutir el progreso que los estudiantes están logrando hacia los estándares de nivel de grado y continuar fortaleciendo nuestra colaboración entre la escuela y el hogar.

Por favor, estén atentos a los PAPELITOS NARANJAS esta semana para comenzar a programar las conferencias.

On Thursday, October 30th, students will be allowed to wear costumes to school. Please ensure that your child's costume is suitable for elementary school ages. Costumes should not be frightening, gory, or overly mature for elementary (preschool-5th grade) school children. NO MASKS may be worn during the school day.

El jueves 30 de octubre, se permitirá que los estudiantes usen disfraces en la escuela. Por favor, asegúrense de que el disfraz de su hijo sea apropiado para estudiantes de primaria. Los disfraces no deben ser aterradores, sangrientos o demasiado maduros para niños de primaria (preescolar a 5.º grado). NO SE PERMITIRÁN MÁSCARAS durante el día escolar.
