Happy Saturday and Happy Spring Break, Orcas!
I hope you all had a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and hear about the progress they are making toward grade-level standards, along with the goals they are setting for the spring.
A HUGE shout out to our school librarian, Ms. Kelly, as we celebrate National School Librarian Day TODAY! We are so grateful for her; her love for students and learning shines through in everything she does. And if that wasn't enough- this past week’s Book Fair was a huge success thanks to her thoughtful organization and dedication- and thank you to all of the volunteers who came to assist our students and families with this event!
And now-- we head into Spring Break! I hope your family is able to rest, recharge, and enjoy some quality time together- the forecast is showing a beautiful week ahead!
School resumes on Monday, April 13th. When we return, we’ll have a busy and exciting stretch ahead! You can look forward to special events like College and Career Week, the Dual Language Spring Showcase, Family Picnic Day, field trips, and state testing for grades 3–5 - all leading up to our end-of-year celebrations!

¡Feliz sábado y felices vacaciones de primavera, Orcas!
Espero que todos hayan tenido una excelente oportunidad de conectarse con el/la maestro(a) de su hijo(a) y conocer el progreso que están logrando hacia los estándares de su grado, así como las metas que están estableciendo para la primavera.
¡Un ENORME reconocimiento para nuestra bibliotecaria escolar, la Sra. Kelly, mientras celebramos HOY el Día Nacional del Bibliotecario Escolar! Estamos muy agradecidos por ella; su amor por los estudiantes y el aprendizaje se refleja en todo lo que hace. Y por si fuera poco, la Feria del Libro de esta semana fue todo un éxito gracias a su organización y dedicación—¡y también gracias a todos los voluntarios que apoyaron a nuestros estudiantes y familias durante este evento!
Y ahora… ¡comenzamos las vacaciones de primavera! Espero que su familia pueda descansar, recargar energías y disfrutar de tiempo de calidad juntos—¡el pronóstico muestra una semana hermosa por delante!
Las clases se reanudan el lunes 13 de abril. Cuando regresemos, ¡nos espera un periodo ocupado y emocionante! Podrán disfrutar de eventos especiales como la Semana de Universidad y Carrera, la Presentación de Primavera del Programa de Lenguaje Dual, el Día de Picnic Familiar, excursiones y las evaluaciones estatales para los grados 3.º a 5.º, ¡todo esto antes de nuestras celebraciones de fin de año!
